Baptist Helping others
Hurricane Harvey Relief
Jamie went to Texas City with five others from the Franklin County Baptist Association to help cleanup. She cooked meals for several thousand people each day for the first few days. Then she started helping cleanup houses that had been flooded with storm water. Wet stuff had to be cleared out, drywall had to be removed. Spray to kill the mold and mildew had to be applied.
Jamie spent one week and did spend some time spreading the word of God also. Several people were helped with both their houses and their lives.
If you would like to help in the future, the Missouri Baptist Association is having training in Sikeston, Mo on November 3rd and 4th, follow this link for information to register for these classes and what it takes.
This is the information available on the training site.
